Cori Thomas is an award winning playwright and author. Her roduced plays include: Lockdown, When January Feels Like Summer, and Citizens Market. She is a Mellon Foundation Playwright in Residence at WP Theater and a New Dramatists alumna. Awards Cori has won include the Helen Merrill Prize, the American Theater Critics Osborn Award, and the Edgerton Foundation Prize. She has been awarded Fellowships and Residencies at The O’Neill Center National Playwrights Conference, Sundance Theater Lab, MacDowell Colony, Bogliasco Foundation, Baryshnikov Arts Center, and Djerassi. Co-Writer of I Cried To Dream Again, the memoir of sex trafficking Survivor Sara Kruzan published in May 2022 by Penguin Random House. She also has an original screenplay for HBO and Tribeca Films in addition to various film and TV projects in various stages of development. Cori is the co-founder and co-director of the inaugural upcoming San Quentin Film Festival, the first ever film festival in a prison.

THE PRINCESS, THE BREAST, AND THE LIZARD

A cancer comedy. Deliz is a single mother and personal assistant to an extremely abusive Princess who lives in NYC. She, along with two undocumented employees, hate their boss. Problem is, she pays pretty well. In the Murphy’s Law category of bad timing, Deliz discovers she has breast cancer just as she is to testify in a forgery trial against the Princess.
